Again one of my annual posts but the consistency of this post mirrors the consistency of this friendship. March 30 is one of my favorite days of the year and this year it is really bittersweet. I so wish I was home having a delicious dinner with my spare family tonight, I wish I could be there to give my best friend a birthday hug. True friendship is a great blessing and I am lucky enough to have had it from a young age. Here is the first stanza of the poem that she wrote the week we left for college.
"A love this pure, this plainly shown.
If all my hopes and dreams would end,
This I would know: you are my friend."
